Why should you consider The Grey Matter?
We partner with you because being seen as an authority in your field requires work that other agencies won’t do.
Why should you consider The Grey Matter?

We partner with you because being seen as an authority in your field requires work that marketing and SEO agencies won’t do.
Every business we choose to work with has a story to tell, a vision to convey, and a reason that they’re worth working with. When it’s time to spread that message, however, marketing and SEO agencies default to the same tired old approaches and methods. The Grey Matter consults on and offers services that empower your company. We work to crystalize in the minds of your prospective clients the idea that your company is the only voice worth listening to.

If your company’s voice is drowned out by the sound of your competitors, then you should consider reaching out to us. If you believe that your company is worth listening to over that of your competition, then you should consider getting in touch with us. If your messaging is falling flat, you should pick up the phone.

It only counts if it’s making you money

It only counts as marketing if it’s making you money

Everyone always wants to hear about how a team, a company, can bring additional value. Marketing teams across the world sit in fluorescent-lit conference rooms for hours on end working to establish some half-baked pseudo plan to try and convince people that they’re different. But they’re not. What makes The Grey Matter different can be spelled out in one simple phrase: We have ZERO intention of scaling our business. We take on a set number of clients, and we do not take on anyone else until a contract is complete. There are a dozen reasons that this benefits you, starting with the fact that we don’t hire salespeople.

You never have to worry about some commission junkie upselling you on something you don’t need. Also, since we don’t have a conveyor belt system like the bigger agencies, we don’t pass your work off to some 2021 Communications Design grad. Our purposefully limited client base allows us to put forth the absolute best possible product, and no matter the client, each project is handled by someone with over 15 years in the industry. It’s your choice, to continue to pay thousands of dollars for mediocrity, or work with The Grey Matter, and stop flushing your cash.

It’s about effort, not magic

It’s about effort, not magic

Agencies don’t want you to know that they’re putting in the least amount of work possible. What kind of business would come out and say, “thanks so much for hiring us to work with your company. We’re incredibly excited to implement below-average measures for you.”?

The truth is, marketing agencies and search engine optimization (SEO) companies aren’t out to cheat you, they just don’t care. They’ll tell you that they’re going to write x amount of articles for your company every month. They’re going to use their proprietary software to find all the best keywords, create meaningful content that’s engaging to users, blah blah blah.

Now ask yourself this, when’s the last time that you went online and read a blog? Let’s say you read blogs all the time, I’d still bet that if you ask around, you’ll find that you’re the exception to the rule. Also, have you read the blogs that your marketing or SEO company is putting out? Are they well written? Are they engaging? Or does it seem like some college sophomore was paid 10 cents a word, and told he needed to include a handful of agreed upon keywords that would help your company rank better on Google?

The cost to hire someone to write an average article is getting less and less expensive. As a result, marketing and SEO companies are able to pad their bottom lines by paying next-to-nothing for work that they’ll likely never have to defend.
